Customer experience has shown that a detox is not suitable for people with irritable bowel syndrome. However, our boxes are suitable. However, we cannot state with 100% certainty that the use of such a projectile can cause disturbances in the intestines. Is this the case? If so, you should of course stop, inform us and consult your doctor.

Our detox boxes are specifically designed to detoxify and help the body cleanse itself. In addition, a detox is a good stepping stone to a healthy lifestyle or to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. A Vita Box is intended to supplement the vitamins and minerals in your daily diet. Not everyone wants to go on a detox. So the Vita Box is a great box to use.

Scientific research shows that your body is busy cleaning itself day after day, all day long. This is what your kidneys, liver and skin do. They filter and catalyse. What does a detox do physically? Few, if any, scientific articles have been written on this subject. We prefer to talk about emotional awareness and a few days of rest in your body. Dr. Blend Juice Cures are designed to reset. Not so much to cleanse and detoxify. However, the ingredients we use are all healthy and our recipes are formulated to support your health.

We strongly advise against combining detox with medication. For medical questions, we refer you to the specialist doctor who is treating you. The side effects of detoxification vary from person to person. Some people have a lot of energy, while others have low energy levels. Some people sleep less well, have muscle pain, headaches, cold or chills.

Our detox program is designed to support the body’s natural cleansing process. We have developed a balanced package that promotes detoxification but also gives you enough energy. Of course, everybody is built a little differently, so everyone may react differently to our detox.

We recommend that you detox 6 times or a maximum 12 times per year. 

If you have never taken a detox before, we advise you to choose the beginners’ detox. It lasts 3 days. The 7-day detox is a heavy test for the body and mind. If you have little or no experience with juice detoxification, we recommend that you start with a 3-day juice detox and work your way up.

During a detox, your body receives far fewer substances, so it’s good that it’s already a little used to this. Our advice? A maximum of 2 days before and a minimum of 2 days after your detox:

• Do not drink alcohol.

• Do not smoke cigarettes.

• Preferably no meat and no red meat at all.

• Do not eat cake and avoid sweets as much as possible.

• Do not drink coffee and tea containing caffeine.

During the detoxification cure, we advise you – apart from the injections and the juice cure – to drink a lot of water. This strengthens your body’s cleansing support. By drinking a lot of water, you will not need to go to the toilet frequently. This way, waste products can leave your body. But be careful not to drink too much water. Your kidneys can process 0.7 to 1 litre of fluid per hour. We therefore advise you to drink 2 to 3 litres of water per day, in addition to the detox juices.

Exercise has been scientifically proven to reduce stress, improve mood, increase energy and shape the body. It is also an excellent outlet. You can exercise while detoxing. We recommend only light cardio. Do you feel dizzy or lightheaded? Stop immediately and do not exercise for the rest of the detox days.

If you really want to leave your bowels alone for a while and support the body’s natural cleansing process as much as possible, it is best to drink only juices. We therefore advise you not to eat during the detoxification. If this is really impossible, we advise you to eat a light soup. Every body reacts differently to detoxification. So our advice is really advice. Nothing is forbidden.

There is no official age limit, but we recommend that you start a detox at the earliest at the age of 18. Fortunately, it’s very easy to lead a healthy life when you’re young, simply by not smoking, consuming less alcohol and sugar and exercising a lot. Of course, our wide range of juices is suitable for young and old.

During detoxification, weight loss can indeed occur. But don’t consider yourself lucky. During a detox or juice treatment you mainly lose muscle mass, not fat. Moreover, the kilos lost during the detox can come back later. We do not recommend Dr. Blend juice cures solely as a way to lose weight. The detox – following a juice cleanse – is intended to cleanse, give your intestines a rest and reset your body and mind.

We are not dieticians or nutritionists. What often helps is to start with a review of your diet. Then adapt that diet in a feasible way, do (extra) sport and make sure you eat less sweets. Set goals and weigh yourself at fixed times. All this should bring you closer to your target weight.

Ascorbic acid is another word for vitamin C, but due to EU regulations it may not be labelled as such. This is an antioxidant that is used as an aid to prevent oxidation (browning) of mainly apple juice (but also pear and carrot juice).

We add up to 0.2% ascorbic acid to some juices. This differs per fruit type and time of the year. It also disappears during the shelf life because it is oxidised by oxygen. When brown colouring is visible, ascorbic acid is no longer present.

Fruits and vegetables are first washed on a conveyor belt, then pureed and finally the juice is squeezed cold from these fruit and vegetable purees. The rich flavour, vitamins and nutrients are thus optimally preserved. After pressing, accurate weighing machines ensure that each bottle contains exactly the right amount of ingredients.

The entire production process takes place in a refrigerated environment and under strict hygienic controls. The core temperature does not exceed 7°C and automatic cleaning takes place after the production of each individual product. Are the bottles full? Then they are packed in special refrigerated crates and provided with a registration code. In this way, we can see exactly where our bottles are when.

HPP (High Pressure Processing) is a mild preservation technique. This means that the filled juice bottles are placed in the tubes of the machine, after which the machine is hermetically sealed. Next, the cold water pressure is built up to a maximum of 6,000 bar. The recipe determines the exact pressure and treatment time in the machine. The high pressure ensures that yeasts and bacteria are eliminated without detracting from the fresh taste, vitamins and nutritional values. Moreover, this method of production extends the shelf life of the juices to no less than 10 to 15 days.

Cold Pressed juices, or cold pressed juices, result from a process that is made up of two steps.

Step 1:

Fruit and vegetables are shredded into a pulp. How is this done? By means of a shredding process; a steel rotating disc ensures that the fruit and vegetables are shredded neatly. We then move the product to a large feed pipe and from there it falls into a special filter bag; a large sieve as it were.

Step 2:

The second part of the process takes place in the hydraulic press. This press ensures that the pulp is exposed to extremely high pressure between two plates. This pressure causes the juice of the product to drip into a collection tray. This leaves the fibre content in the filter bag. Usually, the remaining fibres are composted, recycled into food products or donated to farms. So as little waste as possible.

Yes, you can. When you freeze the juices, they can be kept for up to 90 days. However, it is not recommended to freeze the juices again after defrosting them.

Because of the unique HPP process the juices have a shelf life of 10 – 15 days. If you freeze the juices, you can keep them for up to 90 days.

Usually we deliver the box to the neighbours with a notification in your mailbox. Or we try a second time. A second time, the shipment returns to our warehouse. We will charge you for the extra shipping costs.

Right of withdrawal

As a consumer you have the right to withdraw from an order.

– You have 14 days to change your mind.

– If you have received the order, we expect you to keep it cool. 

– If you have not yet received your order and you have selected a future date for delivery, you will receive your money back within 10 working days.

– Have you received the order but do not wish to proceed? Then we will pick it up free of charge. We will check the order and if you have followed the rules, we will credit the bottles you did not consume. Bottles that are missing or have been opened cannot be refunded. Always take a picture before a shipment is picked up.  

Returning

Would you like to return your order?

You have the right to withdraw from the agreement within 14 days without giving any reason. This right does not apply to products that may spoil within the cooling-off period, such as some juices. The withdrawal period will expire 14 days after the day on which you or a third party designated by you and other than the carrier acquires physical possession of the product. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your intention to withdraw from the contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. written notice via e-mail, whatsapp or post). You can do this by using the model form for withdrawal (https://www.thuiswinkel.org/data/uploads/reglementen/Modelformulier_voor_herroeping.docx), but you are not obliged to do so. Please send the form by e-mail to support@drblend.com.

We ask you to follow our own procedure as much as possible:

– Please send the reason for the return to support@drblend.com.

– Your return request will then be evaluated by us.

– Do we approve your request? Then we will grant the return order.

– In this case you will receive an e-mail regarding your return notification.

– In this e-mail you will find instructions for an official return order.

– We pick up the detox juice cure at the agreed location and timeframe.

* If you choose to return the order yourself, please use our address details provided in the confirmation email / on the packing slip accompanying the order for the correct return address.

Consequences of withdrawal If you withdraw from the contract, all payments made by you up to that time, including any shipping costs (with the exception of any extra costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us) shall be refunded to you without delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw. If you only return a part of your order, the delivery costs will not be refunded. We will refund you using the same method of payment as you used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, no charges will be made for such refunds. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest. You shall return the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your decision to withdraw from the contract to us. You are in time if you return the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. If you use our own procedure for returns (see the bolded returns procedure above), we will pick up the order you waive free of charge. You can also return the order on your own initiative. In this case you will have to bear the direct costs for returning the order. You will only be liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the use of the goods beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

For example, it is not necessary to open the juice in order to assess the product.
